I have started a thread on the Collingwood board trying to establish the veracity of the claim that 'supporters only' threads are commonplace. So far one Essendon supporter recalls such a thread once on their board when 'NM supporters outnumbered Essendon supporters 10 to 1'. Otherwise, our supporters and those from other teams who have posted think that Carlton's 3 wooden spoons in recent years have made them a bit touchy. It seems so far that this practice is largely confined to the Carlton board.

Easy enough to find out.

15 entrie, the vast majority being Melbourne and Gold Coast. Three teams in total. The practice hardly seems widespread. Thank you Reg! I used to love 'The rise and rise (or fall?) of RP': e.g. 'I didn't get where I am today by wearing underwear with a Beethoven bust on them'.

NP. I don't really get the reference because I didn't watch the show and my username comes from somewhere else, but I get it a lot.

Just wondering what these "privileges" are about? E.g. I can't start a new thread anywhere because I have "insufficient privileges".
Thanks

Certain users have certain abilities to do things, while others don't. e.g. I can go into the Mod's Forum but if you clicked on the link you would get the "insufficient privileges" message.

New posters have a bunch of restrictions to help them ease into the site, plus stop spammers. The restrictions drop away due to a combination of post count and time since registration. One of those restrictions is starting new threads.

You should be able to post threads in a couple of weeks.

Good God you are obsessed.

It's there. You just hit reply on each post.

Unless you want to multiquote over several pages, which doesn't work. Even on a single page its annoying, because quoting takes you down to the reply box at the bottom of the page and you have to scroll up to continue reading the thread. Its a definite retrograde step in the upgrade.

You can get around it by opening the quotes into another tab, but upgrades are supposed to make life easier.
