not sure what ive done, but suddenly all the print on the bigfooty site has become a lot smaller. Got no idea how that happened.

I must have done some weird short cut or something, but i cant figure it out.

Any ideas?

Hey Guys,

Embedding tweets is broken for me. I believe that the third party script you guys use uses the old v1 twitter api which was decommissioned on the 11th june(that seemed to be the about the time it stopped working for me)? I had a quick go at doing something similar in php with the new v1.1 api that requires authentication.

You can just change the url after ?url= to try other tweets. But it didn't take long so you guys could probably just make your own script rather than relying on some guy from Thailand to keep his up to date.

When I go to hit Post Reply, it thinks for a moment then doesn't actually post the content. I have to hit it again. Haven't read this thread; might have been posted.

I noticed that, but it was always a dodgy script anyway, sometimes put in doubles.

It was when ever someone replied to the post with the tweet in it.

Just noticed an anomaly

I was looking at a thread in the Bay and was about to post something when I saw the thread before / thread after notification does not strike out the usual swear words.

The thread "Harden the **** up you carlstink shitbags! shows the F word, whereas when looking at the list of threads, the F word is shown as ****.

Yes that's a problem. We can just edit the titles when we see them.

I've got 68 pages of 'watched threads', which are watched simply because I posted in them once.

Two questions:

1) How can I turn off automatic subscriptions to threads I might post once in and,
2) Is there an easier way to unsubscribe from 68 pages of threads than to click on each of them one by one?

For (1), go to your "preferences" and untick the box that says "automatically watch threads i reply to"

Cheers - looks like I'd already done that, and the alerts I keep getting are for threads I posted in ages ago.

Might just have to turn off all notifications.

1) Go to 'Alert Preferences' in your profile
2) At the top of your 'Watched Threads' screen, there is a line of text as follows:

This is a list of the 30 most recently-updated threads with unread replies that you are watching. There may be more to view.

Click on the hyperlink and it will show all watched threads, with a tickbox beside them. Tick the ones you want to unwatch, then use the dropdown menu at the bottom to unwatch them in bulk.

I've just had my work pc re-imaged and now the dropdown menus that appear when you hover the cursor over a link, aren't working. I'm on chrome and javascript is enabled. It works fine on IE, but i hate IE. Any ideas? There are also no enabled extensions..

What's the deal with alerts? I thought my threads were inactive, only to realize I'm not receiving alerts to new posts, despite being heavily active in the thread. This happens for days, so its not as if its just a few extra posts. Sometimes I like to keep on top of threads.

Or is there a better way to do this?

I'm having problems editing thread titles for a few threads that I started. Thought it might just be locked down for users but I asked one of the Eagles mods (@FiveStrings) to look into it for me to see if he could and he's also getting an error.

We are running player threads over on the Eagles board and was just looking to do a bit of an update to a few of the thread titles. With Nicoski's retirement for instance I tried to edit the title of his thread

and got the following error
A server error occurred, please try again later.

We used to be able to do it before, and FiveStrings tried to do it as well and also got an error.

The system does some 'tricky' things with alerts. If you look at them but don't click them, after a while it drops them.
