Port Adelaide have locked in Eagles ruckman Scott Lycett
Port info starts at 34sec.
Goes on to say maybe a raid on a Gold Coast early pick 2 to get one of the SA boys in the draft.
Interesting times ahead ... :D

At our inaugural club event- the 1995 Power guernsey unveiling, Fos Williams was interviewed and asked how he would put together an AFL squad. His response was to prioritise a ruckman and a key forward.

23 years later this advice holds true. You can build premierships around these players.

The suggestion we overpaid for Lycett is way off. He won’t star and we might not notice a lot of what he does but he extends our premiership window until Hayes is ready to extend our premiership window.

Properly managed we should be contenders for a decade.

I remember Fos saying that like it was yesterday. Lycett is a very sound investment.

Scotty into #29.

He was #29 at the Eagles, drafted at Pick 29 and is the 29th Port Magpie to play for the Power as per REH’s post yesterday.
I guess our resident experts could verify - up until this year #29 has been owned only by two players - Kingsley & Pittard.
