He didn't cope very well after BBB's departure. Who knew he was really a backman?

He also played decent footy as a genuine youngster the couple of years he played under Eade.

Given what we know about his relationship with McCartney as a coach he was mature enough to understand that he was a "whipping boy" largely because he was playing for a bad coach. He knew he was good footballer not playing up to the standards he should because he hated the environment he was in while also knowing that the coach was not a coach that would make it appear he was playing well.

Particularly impressive as Jones was always one of the Doggy supporters whipping boys. Used to cop heaps of s**t from "supporters"

I do remember when he used to cop it from "supporters" — seriously disgraceful
