He really disappointed me last year. Was hesitant, showed poor aggression (despite this apparently being a strength) and disposal was shocking. Hopefully he can crack in tomorrow in a wet game and justify the hype.

Another layer of hilarity when you factor in that Freijah is now getting CBAs for the dogs.Has to play in the guts though.
The hilarity late last year when he played on the wing in the WAFL when we could have not done the trade and just taken Freijah.

Hopefully Clay has a Clayton Oliver / Paddy Cripps type second year, as it was basically Freijah+Boxshall for Clay. Not his fault, but pretty underwhelming so far.

Appreciate the insight; except the excerpt about his dad being a good bloke is irrelevant as we shouldn't have 'I like having a drink with their dad' as a recruitment KPI.Freijah is another Sonsie etc where they had great underage years, pulled the I dont want to leave Victoria card, had down senior draft years and slid. It is what it is.
Clay is an inside mid. An extrator, at worst he is a very good defensive mid. He was the only mid in his draft class who could physically match Harley in a game. The issue is, to be the head over the ball inside mid he is still a couple of preseasons away strength wise. He's not quite as strong as Harley and Hewett whilst not being able to lift as much is stronger through the core (which is why Clay was so pissed when he lost the wrestle)
His kicking is very hit and miss, particularly his short to mid range kicking. He is however hard as a cats head, has the right attitude, comes from a great upbringing and knows the work required. He's 2028 round 1 centeman imo. He will likely play quite a few games beforehand but that is when he's ready to be the in and under mid the club needs.
Also his dad is a top bloke who's great to have a beer with.
Hopefully not. Petch is probably more of an impact player, while he'll need time to work himself into the game.Thinking he'll likely be sub again tomorrow
He's a late in for Graham.Hmmmm I completely missed his inclusion into the side. [emoji[emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji640]][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]][emoji640]]

Yes you can. You can't carry more than one or two, but you can.I'll need to be convinced here.
You can't carry guys who actively can't kick in the modern game.
Deleted it as I shouldn't be focusing on the negatives after such a quarter.Yes you can. You can't carry more than one or two, but you can.
