FKASCYeah I rate him. Along with Sheed/Waterman/Duggan/Maginness and the possible development of Colledge and Newman, we just might have quietly rebuilt our midfield.
Just need a better development hit rate than we've enjoyed in recent years.
Pretty sure I chucked Maginness in there because I was sponsoring him that year. To be fair Alec Waterman and Cavka looked like pretty solid midfield draftees until their bodies gave way
That was when I optimistic and less of a campaignerNo wonder he made a new account.
I enjoyed that bump. That was when I optimistic and less of a campaigner

He moved to Cairns? So he finally did become Steamed Hams after all.Another thread bump on the theme of randomly seeing ex-Eagles players in local footy games. We're in Cairns on holiday at the moment and went to the local AFL Cairns grand final this evening and who should be playing but Ashton Hams (39 games for West Coast from 2010-2013). Playing midfield, Hams was one of the best players as his side (Cairns City Lions) waltzed to a 95 point win over the Port Douglas Crocs at Cazalys Stadium. Great venue, shame about the lopsided game. I also see, from checking online, that Damien Cavka's side (Keilor Park) won their grand Final recently with Cavka kicking three goals, but Nathan Vardy missed out today as Koroit beat North Warrnambool in the Hampden League grand final (Vardy kicked a goal and listed in the best players for North Warrnambool).
Ben Sharp vibrationsWhenever I see one of these player threads bumped I expect something bad has happened to them.

To get Lamb at 32 and then Nelson, Cavka and topped off with Waterman was a pretty sweet outcome.
Absolutely cracking joke from 2014 that got no traction at all.Really looking forward to cavkas metamorphosis into an afl standard player.
