I don't think it'll be a terrible look if he lines up round 1.

There was nothing wrong with Darling and Gaff getting a run early, it's done them a world of good, even supporting them through some rough matches.
Stick by the kids, let them know behind closed doors that it won't always come easy, but give them as much game time as possible, it's the best way to learn.

Getting a 'reality check' and being dropped to the 2's if a young kid becomes complacent I believe is sometimes a fault on the coaching staff and a cheap way to re-invigorate a player, the coaches should be able to challenge a player and avoid that complacency so that they don't need to drop them.

Just my thoughts, I'd like to see him play 25 games thing season personally.
