I must admit 2025 has been a testing year for this old WC supporter who has been following this magnificent club from day 1.
The Gov having to medically retire mid year after being equally the best KPD in the AFL and still had a few more games in him at the top was a punch in the spot you don't want.
But today we signed an extension to a young HR who will challenge Gov for AA jumpers in time with the mighty "Eagles" and I almost shed a tear!!

No one would dispute their on-field success in the AFL era, but blimey, their club almost merged barely ~5 years after the end of an unprecedented era of success. Had to sell games to another state for cash. A club with a dubious history with First Nations people etc. A soft supporter base filled with bandwagoners and theatregoers.

Obviously 10 years is wild, but just curious as to why this deal would be better than say an additional 5-6 year deal?
