"A strong and hard working inside midfielder who is a classy ball user, who excels in clearance work and is a high possession winner."

If these traits are halfway true, sounds like a handy player - I like the 'classy ball user and excels in clearance work' part, just what we need more of. As others have said, he'll be a solid addition to Wafl and if he's good enough to crack the 23, even better.

So he's Judd basically.

The West has done a pump up article on Harry Schoenberg. Good read and he certainly seems to coming across with the right attitude

It’s going to be intriguing how he goes this year in conjunction with Robertson and Macrae. Kind of hard to see how all three fit in the best 23 at the same time especially with Graham, Kelly and (hopefully) Yeo likely in the side as well

At a minimum, he’s going to be a very handy addition to our WAFL side doing some of the heavy lifting for the younger mids to develop around

Averaged 24 disposals and 6 clearances in the SANFL last year so if he can repeat that productivity it’d help make the Beagles far more competitive

Especially if he can do this (his words):

“I’m open to play any position Mini (coach Andrew McQualter) would like me to play, but I feel like I play my best footy as an explosive midfielder who is good in the contest, good in the clearance and can use his clean hands to give to the outside,” he said.

He’s the most likely of the three to make it into the B23 long term imo

Seen on Harleys instagram Harry here was on the tongs... team guy team player, i propose the nickname "Grill Master"

Hi all, please excuse my intrusion.

Harry was a very good prospect since day one at the crows, but for whatever reason, Covid, Achilles and just plain bad luck, it didn't happen for him.
It wasn't through lack of endeavour. I don't believe he was given the opportunity to show his capabilities in 25. But he wasn't alone due to our healthy list.

His form in the reserves was exceptional with a single OOTF in his only AFL game as a sub seemingly signed his papers.

I hope he gets through pre season as he deserves some luck this time around. He is a quality mid and I think we made an error in judgement. Time will tell I guess.

All the best Harry and will be hoping your hard work provides another chance.

Great to hear "The Prince" is having a decent pre season.

Can see him adding plenty in 2026 and hopefully beyond. :thumbsu:
He's the type of player we need and will be battling Clay Hall for a spot.

Even if it's short term while Gross and Hall develop in the WAFL he will add good depth and I'm confident he will be in the B23 in round 1

He won the Best Emerging Talent award year 2 and a Rising Star nomination early in his career before the achiles injury and set back.

So there is decent ability there. Fingers crossed he can get and stay fit and show everyone what he's capable of.

Yep, I have nothing against any of the "mature aged" rookies we've picked up (none of whom are that old).

Worst case scenario? They're better than the randoms we roll out in the WAFL, and were free.

Competition for spots is good. Just wish we had better small forward options but at the same time glad we prioritised other parts of the ground with our picks at this stage of the rebuild.

If Collingwood start their fall down the ladder and WC can win 5+ games I wouldn't be surprised to see WC chase after Bobby Hill.

Would love to get Darcy Jones out of GWS.
