You can define Gibbs on what's happened over the last couple of weeks if you choose. That's your right.
I'll define him by his decade of performances, selflessness and loyalty in our jumper.

Hey Guys. Sorry to intrude. Although other Crows fans may disagree, I have absolutely no hard feelings that this deal fell through. Gibbs was on a big contract and the best player on your list. You have every right to value him higher than the market. At the same time I am really happy that our club didnt give you what you were asking. I felt pick 13 alone was fair value and adding a second rounder was overs, but acceptable. Anything more and I am glad our club walked away.

However, I am absolutely filthy with our club for the way we handled Jarred Lyons. It clearly had nothing to do with the Gibbs deal so its not why I bring it up. But I make the point that I am filthy with our clubs handling of this trade period and give us an F. If there were any winners here, it certainly wasn't us. We have lost a really good player who is only getting better. He had already surpassed Thompson who is well past it and will cost us dearly in scores from turnovers next season. We are in a worse position now than we were at the beginning of the season and that is poor list management. I really hope your fans consider that Gibbs partner is a real person and whatever she is going through will now be amplified since she was brought into the centre of this. I do worry for her actually. She must be distraught to be in the spotlight in a time when she is already vulnerable. Good luck and forgive and forget.

Leadership, yes...
He earns his pay, unlike some running around....
Will help and accelerate the improvement of the young kids you're talking about. He's not taking up their spot, he's helping them learn how to play in the spot they get...
Winning a premiership in the next three years is not dependent on Gibbs leaving....

Loyalty?
He just tried to weasle his way out of a 5 year contract. Did most of it behind our back and is now dirty over it.

I cant help but shake the feeling I just witnessed our club ruin this rebuild, and destroy our chance at landing 17 with this list.

Holy hell. If pick 13 was the key to our rebuild we're in deep trouble. Without Bryce, Cripps would have been pounded into submission next year, even more so than this year.

Making a stand and keeping a team capable of winning are far more important to our rebuild than pick 13 and change.

Very happy to have you back in the fold Bryce. You have a very important continuing role in mentoring kids we have traded in and will draft in. The only way we could afford to let you go was if the Crows made us an offer we couldn't refuse. They didn't. Welcome back.

Given that his "personal situation" is essentially of his own making I couldn't give a flying **** if he's seething or to whom it may be directed at. Piss poor way he, his management and Adelaide went about it.
 
Can't wait to see the PR work the club does.

Put your head down and perform for us on the field and all will be forgiven. And don't use the word disappointed at any point when asked about the failure to engineer a trade.
