Bump.

29 disposals (5 contested) 8 marks 3 tackles 4 inside50s 1 goal. Gun.

Really surprised me tonight, knew he was a bit if a ball magnet but never knew he was polished with the ball in his hand.

I am not surprised by his performance. In the Twos he makes space and uses the ball so well. When he played NAB he was so composed and just took it in his stride & he has done the same thing in senior footy. Notice how much space he seemed to have. He works really hard to create that but he is so elusive his opponent doesn't even know he is gone until too late. That is all about timing and going to a part of the ground you are not expected to go. If he is playing on the right you will find him making space on the left or visa versa. I like how Longmire coached him, allowing him a lot of lattitude and it paid dividends. Crouchy coaches him the same way. I think he will have a really successful career.

He must be extremely fit as he has come straight into senior Footy and adapted right of the bat with his 2 way running. The way he runs both ways is truly impressive and good on him.
He also uses the ball by foot and hand very well and his outside game has been great for the side. He can only get better and deserves to be in the side atm.

May the force be with him.

Love how we produce guns from complete crap. The main thing that separates the good from great IMO, how lower draft picks develop.

I think he'll find himself back in the 2's after Mitchells effort, but he certainly belongs at the top level.

who would you drop? Mitchell needs to come in, and every other mid has played well, perhaps Goodes, but we have a bye so everyone will be rested. Tommy is a gun and is best 22.
Lloyd when not the sub has had 20 pos at AFL level and has used the ball extremely well and has not looked out of place were Mitchell struggled at the start of the year , not saying Mitchell is not a gun but you drop a player ( Lloyd ) out of the 1s that is playing well because Mitchell played well. plus they are totally different players , one is outside and one is inside. Lloyd does not deserve to be dropped atm

How well did Mitchell play in the reserves?

Still I would be uncomfortable dropping Lloyd as his form has been good and he really doesn't deserve to be dropped. It sends a bad message dropping players in form especially for a player who has shown a lot of promise but has not shown himself to be more damaging than Lloyd yet.

Lloyd could be a sneaky for the Rising Star this week. 20 disposals 6 marks 7 tackles aren't super fantastic numbers but with a split round there's less competition.
