We had no idea all of a sudden Brown was going to ask for a trade and we would be trying to rush 2 trades in the last couple of hours instead of one.

Cripps + Hooker + 25 I would see as a win. I don't really rate Hooker (granted I haven't seen all that much of him) but a few on here do and I'll back the brains trust if they think he is a good get.

Although Cripps being potentially free in the draft in slightly annoying.

Hooker coming in worries me as I think he's too similar to Mackenzie in some respects. Brown and Mackenzie as a duo moving forward makes me a whole lot more comfortable.

I'd have no issue if Hooker comes in - he is a like for like replacement for Brown.

I would like a draft pick selection as well - as Hooker for Brown is just a straight swap of talent and we can get Cripps in the draft late - so we really aren't being compelled to trade

If we lose Brown and don't replace him with a mature KPD, I would be interested to see how Schofield goes as a 2nd KPD when Glass retires. He could put on a few Kgs. He might make a real attacking style KPD, which might actually improve the team.

Anyway, I hope we keep Brown.

Wouldn't be against Hooker coming in...but would he be happy being a depth player like Brown would be till Glass retires? I mean he was getting quite a few games at the Bombers and is 24 and don't think he will want to come home to play maybe 6-7 games for the year? At least with Brown we can put him Forward if we have to play him somewhere.

In my humble opinion Schofield isn't a lock down KPP's arseh*le. He difference in his worth as a KPP versus a rebounding defender is astronomical.
