They are so ingrained as the main event in SE QLD, that Wayne Bennett has managed to apply a layer of teflon and come out unscathed and somehow with some sympathy for doing the dirty on his wife and family.

4 Liston medal votes in the back end of the year is a good indication that he has some real ability. Whether he can play AFL, well that is to be determined in the future.

Havent watched all of the recruit yet, but he seems to have a bit of natural talent, just held back by disipline. Gets his chance now in a professional environment, either it will spur him on and he will make it or he will stick with old habbits and be delisted in a year or 2.

There's a video on FoxSports of Matty announcing which club he chose. It pans to Schwab and he genuinely looks thrilled to get Eagles on the list. Would love to hear Schwab's pitch to Eagles if anyone comes across a link

Like the addition, doesn't cost us a list spot, balances our ruck stocks & more importantly saves us from having to deal a draft pick to get someone like a Witts on our list (which we would most likely end up overpaying for)

VFL Stats for this season. Has been playing since May. Certainly hasn't disgraced himself thats for sure. Will be a mature body to help out with some of the physical NEAFL guys they come across I would think.

Yeah no. He's been playing the second half of the season for North Ballarat in the VFL. Lots of the recruit guys got farmed out to VFL sides during the year so that teams could assess the possible winners form against better opposition. Before that he was playing for Yeronga.

Id say it's more likely that our vfl scouts were impressed with his form against the afl level ruckman that he was up against
