Quite impressed with what I have seen, even with limited touches. Looks strong over the ball and has some neat sidestep moves I wasn't expecting. Hope we manage to get quite a few games into him this season as he looks the type of player that may step up levels quite quickly and well.
still not the quick I was lead to believe he is. BF lies:D

Looked composed and made decent decisions under pressure.

It's funny, I've seen far more posts saying he's not as quick as thought than I have posts that said he was quick

So I'm not sure which is the bigger myth - that's he is quick or that people said he was

At TAC Cup level he looked to have a quick burst of pace, and his sprint tests at the draft combine only validated that perception. A 2.88 second 20M sprint isn't slow, I don't know why he isn't showing any burst of speed these days.

It may be just me but even Shuey and Darling looked to have a better top speed, back in 2011 and 2012.

I can't recall any posts claiming he was quick?

It is probably based on his draft combine, 2.88 second 30m sprint time.

I reckon it only takes 1 hamstring injury for that to go from 2.88 to 3.08 though and a lot of the time people mistake agility for speed, which might not be something Kurt is good at.

EDIT: See above.

We might see flashes of pace as he builds confidence and takes the game on. Once he has more core strength in coming seasons, he may be hard to stop.

Shuey was a lot less bulky and played more outside in 2011.

Can't wait to see Duggan Nelson back in the team and eventually Venables and Rioli later in the year.

Some young talent coming through that need game time!

Is it just me or does Kurt look short for his height? Wondering if he has the long neck/head thing Swift had going on.
His head does look different . Like a fridge door got slammed on it as a kid is all i can think of . Unless it got caught in a vice or someone reversed into it .

Looks like he's got the short legs long torso thing going on. Cant say I saw his 'speed' in the last two games that he was supposed to have.

Jokes aside, I think he's playing well.

Looks like a good mover with a bit of dance in his step which i like.

Loved his kick off half back where he got it, turned fast and made a quick decision to kick it 55 on a 45 flat and lace out.

Definitely a keeper.

Do you guys see him in the team long term this season?

If he maintains some kind of form he will probably get 6-8 games similar to Duggan and Nelson's first crack at it barring injuries etc.

Kurt looks like he needs another good pre-season of running under his belt at a minimum. A lot to like about his first 2 outings though.
