Is there a chance that Wally's contract offer was hinging on Wingard's response to our terms and Wally re-signing (which no doubt is good news on that front) is an indication of that response?
Can only assume Wally and his agent would be a wake up to this and would have not agreed based on treatment of his contract talks.

Was always lukewarm on this one. A bit like Essendon getting Stringer. A potential A Grader in his prime but clearly comes with baggage and has underperformed for a few years.

Pick 7 will hopefully be a player who can make a quick impact.

Except Port did extremely well in the trade- Burton will be a very good player and pick 15 is a good pick. We got two middle seconds.
Issues were different, other than both Chad and Jake denied they saw it coming. Chad was in demand, Jake wasn't. If only his main fault was being preoccupied with Play Station.

Seems both had application issues as well as attitude issues within the group. Both big reasons for their departures. Both didn't see it coming and both reacted badly to the criticism. A lot more similarities than differences to me.

Never close this thread. Let it serve as a reminder that sometimes you think life is gonna give you a Wingard and it actually gives you a Duryea.

Sam Lloyd is a better get than Whineguard
Lloyd has been fantastic for us, it's telling we targeted him about midway through last season.
I suspect we have 1-2 fringe types in the Lloyd/Duryea/Crozier category we'll look at given we've been vocal about needing more experience in the side.
