I'm a nope on this. Hope he proves me wrong, but he's a similar character to Jed Lamb, without having Lamb's talent. If you ever watched Carlton training you'd know Lamb was the Fonz to those young kids, and that wasn't a positive thing. This feels like Robert Walls to me.

Has a history, has been involved in heaps of incidents. Not always the striker but he's clearly a niggler and has plenty of mongrel and loves that side of the game... his bump on Keiran Jack in 2015, his bump on Brown ended his career, his bump on Riewoldt put Riewoldt in hospital, he was pretty poor when he pushed an injured Jack Riewoldt a couple years ago (first year at Melbourne) and then the Mills incident.

Don't like him but I respect the mongrel as long as he doesn't overstep.

I see this as a bit of an upgrade to Lamb. Antagonistic forward who can kick the odd goal but might have cleaner skills. Don't mind this. Brings some senior experience and aggression.

I hope this isn't going to be rolled out everytime the club does something which some supporters don't agree with. People need to be realistic about how minimal Walls' role at the club is.
