Is it just me who thinks he sounds like a character out of a Banjo Patterson poem?

You mean like this?

McCreery had the ball in hand
And streamed along the wing
His teammates stared in wonder when
He banged the ball right in
The umpire watched, his whistle near
When Beau ran in to gather
Too quick, the red ball sailed above
The opposition, in a lather

I reckon he is the newbie most likely to be in the senior side from round 1.
He's a year older than the others, has played a full year of senior SANFL football and performed well.
Kicks goals and applies pressure in the forward line -we're crying out for a player of that type.
Ned Guy looked extremely happy and animated (which is very unusual for him!) after McCreery's name was announced.

As I do with all Banjo poems it's always Leonard Teale's voice telling them.

Righto, let’s print this out and circulate it around the cheer squad.

It’ll be nice to have a chant that is more than three syllables for a change.

I read he's indiginous and a forward. For those complaining we don't have one.
No he isn’t. If you’re referring to The Age article, you’re confusing him with Phoenix Spicer.
