That pretty much firms up for me that I am not in favour of raising the current draft age. Being drafted doesn't equate to being ready to debut, but clearly quite a few are. I also think you could run the risk that a higher draft age risks losing the multi sports players like Sturt, Erasmus, Clark etc.
So we drafted an u17 player at pick 4 in the best draft in history?

Port Adelaide are probably the only club to start from scratch with a plan, have things in place to start well.Not very "Smart" shall we say

We were too eager to join the AFL, and inexperienced.
We should of made the AFL take the first steps to stop WC, nothing much has changed on their behalf since.
Which only proves without good management you are not going anywhere.
Winning trade night isn’t a blueprint for success.
Not sure what point you're trying to make, but Polak was only a day younger than Hodge.

The difference is killer instinct, or white line fever, Polak was just happy with the lifestyle benefits.
You can see it with McCarthy, Hogan. For all the Crap Tabs gets he has got the best out of him.
He works hard and is competitive, same with Treacy, easy to get seduced by talent but it’s what above the shoulders that can be the difference.

Too many times other teams intercepted a lot of kicks.
Some games we had 2 talls and 4 small.
The lack of forward arial pressure resulted in lack of ground pressure.
Ermaus and Sturt fixes that issue.
100%.
Taberner and Lobb generally don’t play full seasons.
At least now we have Amiss and Benning as back ups.
