While it is far from the end of the world, it is disappointing all the same.

I don't understand why we have to continually strip the weight back off all of our players, they're not greyhounds.

If anything we should have had him maintaining his existing weight and hit the gym to shred up a little.

I just hope that he's alright and that it doesn't become one of those continual things, that needs to be managed.

All the best Chad and get better soon!

Jeez it's going to be hard to knock off the Crows now.

Starting mid will be JOM, Shiels, Worpel.

Support will be Howe, Burgoyne, Cousins (absolute certainty to play now).

Will it be enough against Sloane, Gibbs, M Crouch, B Crouch?

It’s more than enough.

Not sure how they can rule a guy out with a calf 3 weeks before round 1... there's no confirmation of a tear, how can they say calf tightness has ruled him out? There has to be something else.

Not a great start for our new fitness regime.

The article says unlikely. Given his lack of match practise and issues with the calf over the last month makes sense to me

They are letting the faithful know now rather than build up to the season and people feel let down as we have invested a lot to get him etc etc and the club doesn’t want to be smashed in the week leading up to round 1.

He will miss more than round 1 unfortunately is the message the club are letting out today!!!!

It’s Feb.

Pays to be cautious, especially with a Ferrari.

He has just had a month of nothing and has had another setback.

I expect this will be a round 4 or 5 job with all rehab and recovery going ok that is.

Clarko is not going to be rushing back a bloke that has been injured for 8-9 weeks. He will need to rehab and then do the traditional Hawks 4-5 week training block/mini pre season before we see him.

Have huge concerns on this blokes work ethic now
He was addicted to fortnite at Port and barely trained. Seems a recurring theme if you ask me. He better pull his s**t together and start being what we gave up to get him. Round 1 is now a complete write off

You are kidding yeah? How does an injury cause you to have concerns over his work ethic?

Cause at port adelaide he barely trained and played fortnite on his ps4. Used to sulk and just play playstation all day, hes addicted to it
LMFAO based on what? Some rumors from Port fans?

He likes a ******* game, so what... He is showing up to training and doing everything asked of him by the club who gives a s**t what he does in his spare time.

Are you from Syria with this?

Barely trained? What’s that mean? He trained once, maybe twice a week?

Are you suggesting that he missed 3-4 sessions a week? Yet the club decided not to counsel him on it or apply sanctions?

Seems legit...

You can laugh it off but that's all the bloke does. Sits on his ass playing it, calf injuries are usually a sign of overloaded where your body isnt used to the load. Hasn't done the work required

I don't think they pay you if you don't train. It tends to be a reasonably significant clause in your contract.

It is common for mature recruits (players from other clubs) to be injured in their 1st pre-season with HFC.

Is PS4 secretly responsible for these as well?

Really because he seems to have a rather active social life from what i see following his social media, you are really just talking s**t. You have no idea how much time he spends playing a game and it is in no way the cause for the injury. It sucks that we will have to start the season without him but it isn't the end of the world.
