Why did we prefer an unsigned ruck with a pornstar name who wasn't even training with us?

Because if Cegs or BB fall over we don't have Pittonet anymore to come in.

Reeks* of desperation how?

It's the nature of the beast. We weren't able to select him before due to the priorities of the club, and then a situation arose where we could bring him back. Would it be better to just play a list spot down so Noel Gallagher on the BigFooty forum doesn't think we're desperate?

Genuinely feel like he'd add more than Ollie. Love the spark Ollie can provide, does some good things, but really just struggles to do it often enough.

I like what he brings and everyone knows that he is AFL standard.... when his body is right which is almost never. I just think that signing him on now reflects what we already know - we desperately lack quality small forwards with pace and genuine defensive capabilities which is a major concern

I really really rate Moore so hopefully he gets over his OP soon and forces his way into the forward line

Moore might be useful in other areas of the ground but he's not the type of flashy opportunist small forward we so desperately need right now,.

and what about Ross?

Neither Ross nor Moore have the burst pace or power to play the role we need. I like Ross for different reasons though, opportunist in every sense of the word. Really efficient with his chances.

Really reminds me of Gunston but maybe not quite as talented

Poor bloke has had a bit of a rollercoaster recently. His luck the season gets canned and then his one year contract isnt renewed come the end of the year.

He needs to make that not happen
There will be retirements and de-listings he has a shot at being there

I think Minchington will play Round 1. I’d have him well ahead of Hanrahan assuming he’s fit for selection.

I'm very bullish on Minch and think if his body holds up he'll get his chance and be best 22. But unless something drastically changes I doubt a player that was delisted a week earlier would play Round 1.

I’d love him to be in the mix, but let’s be realistic - in the clubs eyes he sits just behind Keegan Brooksby at the selection table.

Depends on when round 1 is...

Yeah that's not how it works at all.
He was behind Brooksby from a list management perspective.
They needed another ruck on the list more than they needed a small forward.
Doesn't mean they plan on giving either a game in the seniors or that they are more likely to pick Brooksby for a game than Minch.

Neither is in line for round one, and no theyre not competing for the same spot, but simply put: players don’t get listed unless the club foresees a day when they might pull on the jumper. The coaches obviously reckon Brooksby is closer to that than Minch. But that’s a bit related to his injury history, so I was being a bit facetious.

I’m positive on Minch. People reckoned Dave Mirra and Ricky Henderson were no chance to run out for us when they were picked up.

As Clarko said, the issue with Minch is his body staying consistently healthy. If, and it's a big if, that happens he will almost definitely play seniors.

Because if Cegs or BB fall over we don't have Pittonet anymore to come in.

I mean, the obvious solution here is to not use your best ruck in the backline and not use the backup, inferior one at all. Or, if that was the plan all along, maybe guarantee Pittonet the opportunities he very clearly deserved. But here we are.
