Always thought he'd be too small and ball handling was a bit too fumbly.
Thought he would be an OK to good forward pocket, at best.

Love it that he's the kind of player who is always looking to improve. If he sees something which could be better, he works on it, fixes it (in fact more than fixes it, smashes it out of the park.) I was pretty happy when we picked him up because he seemed like a natural footballer, was an elite runner, hard working, likeable, Hawthorn fan etc but I didn't realise we had struck gold. He's brilliant.

Not champion but a very good AFL player. Turns out we now have another midfielder too as he dominated in that role in the 2nd half. Finds space and is a very good kick in general play. Barely missed a target. Turning into a pivotal player for us and someone we would notice if they weren't out there. Still reckon he isnt getting the attention from the opposition that he deserves to their detriment.

Still went at 81%, sure a couple of the kicks were dodgy but when you have it 33 times you expect a couple to not hit the target playing as a forward/mid
