Probably a long time TBH. No one is going to be critical of this.

Collingwood just added 3 to their list as SSP. It’s quite common.

Unfortunate circumstance but the way it has all worked out Phillips now has an excellent opportunity to make a career as an AFL footballer.

I'm expecting he should play quite a few games this year as we really don't have any other full backs on the list at all.

He's physically ready to go and has been training with Box Hill so no reason he couldn't play round 1.

Liked the look of him on Thursday. Good size, backs himself in the air and was surprised with how vocal and confident he was when I stood behind the goals. Good replacement.

It could be a blessing in disguise if he plays really well this year and holds down CHB or FB.

Then Blanck returns next year we could end up with our CHB and FB.

With the guys who have seen this guy play is he more suited to CHB of FB.

Yea great signing. Bummed out for Blanck but he's 23 and his season is over but not his career , bit of perspective. Ethan does actually get more involved in play then James , and doesn't mind leaving his opponent to take intercept marks. There been a few games where he had a fair amount of the ball as well. But, can play big down back as he is 198cm from memory. Good luck .

Not sure. Moves a bit like Tom McCartin. I’ve seen him listed as 198cm but looked a bit shorter than Lewis.

Stoked for Phillips, has done the hard yards and not given up on his dream and now he's one step closer to living that out. You can only do what you can control and Blanck going down has opened the door for him. It's devastating for Blanck but he's motivated and will be back better in 2025.
