Being 19 and away from home, he would definitely be home sick after the first year, but that is healthy and only natural.

He left his own country, all his family and friends, and has just said how much he's looking forward to next year.

And somehow, you feel you have enough evidence to conclude that he's just not interested.

Can you please enlighten us as how you came to this quite disparaging assessment?
