Tiny little detail as I noticed when rewatching our win against the Pies in round 22. Hawks have just blown the game apart with 7 unanswered goals. The Pies then manage to wrestle the ball forward and a clever dinky centering kick finds Lipinski in space 25m out. As Lipinski is going back, I noticed Ginni running in to stand the mark, looking so furious with his teammates that you would think we were the team who were 7 goals down. I'm attaching a screenshot.

When we took him from Collingwood, there was a sense that his attitude was not up to scratch. I think that nothing could be further from the truth. His attitude has been a credit to the club since he arrived, and has coincided with a dramatic uptick in the whole team's performance.

If I remember correctly he had another moment like this in a game against North where we were up by 100; Chol marked it close to the final siren and Ginni ran hard just to tell him there was under 30 seconds left and to take the set shot. Completely meaningless moment in the grand scheme of things but indicative of his level of effort and confidence to coach his teammates on-field.

Ginni is also one of the first players to get in amongst the celebrations. Hard to pick it up on the telly but in person you'll see him bust a gut to get amongst it. It mind seem meaningless to us but you ask Hickmott and he'll tell you that positivity is a big part of our game.
