He looks like he has enough of the skills and attributes to make it, it'll be down to application and improving deficiencies.

I'd suggest he get utilised as a small forward or small defender initially.

Also I wonder what kind of role Clarko envisions for him. Will he turn him into a Puopolo MkII? He's got the pace, the physicality and despite playing HBF and midfield he's kicked 5 in a game before - taking nice marks and tackling hard.
The last we had with blonde hair speed and hitting the body was Ossie.

Always really liked Ossie, if Saunders can achieve what Osbourne did as a rookie then he'll have made the most out of himself.

Ossie frustrated the s**t out of everyone on this board for 5yrs before he put it all together, so hopefully Saunders doesn’t follow him in that regard.

I do like the comparison though.

Can Saunders take a speccy?

He showed glimpses every now and then and would keep you hanging.

Does a couple of really nice things in the Jeka highlights video- can see why we went after him!

Hadn't seen his intro video before, some kids just make you smile. In a great spot to learn under Sammy at BH.

Jack Saunders (9 disposals, 3 tackles, 1 goal)
"Jack continues to be a work in progress. His highlights package shows plenty of speed as well as being able to play a defensive forward role for periods of the game. He is continuing to develop his game understanding."

The type of player that we need although still raw he had plenty of upside. Intensity, speed and can use the ball going in fifty. The knock was his kicking but it looked elite on Sunday. Might get a look this year although he will be more ready with another pre-season. Along with Brockman and Seamus Mitchell, fits a pressing need, speed and elite ball use going into fifty. Drafting takes a couple of years to come though and change the team but the makings are there. Hopefully two of them make it.

Yep has come on really well in his role. He faded in the second half / last qtr which is to be expected given the amount of effort he expended in the first half for a kid that has come into a professional environment from bush football. Will be great when he builds his game and general fitness

How did he only have 14 disposals yesterday? He looked to be everywhere and had massive impact to how we played.

There are times where Titch can have 30+ and be anonymous. Immediate impact is important, and you remember the disposals more when they directly lead to something.

Cyril is the best example.
