Yep certainly, and the VFL coaches seem to be happy with his improvement in this area of his game based on their comments. He is averaging 2.5 tackles per game which is on par with Gunston who is probably his most similar player in our side.

What is absolutely incredible is the fact that he has kicked 23.8 this year in 8 games! That’s nearly 75% accuracy...

Agree with this. Integrity at selection very important especially now we’re not much hope of a top 8 finish.

Nope.

He's not at all like Stephenson really, I'm not sure the comparison should be made. The only similarity they share is their awkward, skinny physique.

The best comparison you'll get at AFL level is probably Jack Gunston. Quick getting ball to foot, kicks some of those goals you'd expect from a bloke 10cm shorter. Awesome hand eye coordination, which would be expected with his Tennis background.

Committed to footy late, so we clearly picked him up as a development prospect and boy is he showing some development. Genuinely getting better every week.

Then why are we making hard for some, and not others?

Ross may be skinny, but if we are tanking as posters suggest then Ross should be given a taste of seniors.

You realise we are playing WCE, the reigning premiers, and not Carlton right (who we barely beat)?

The only reason I can think of as why he hasn't played yet is that they are protecting him physically until he gets some full core strength. He'll obviously never be solid but he needs to be able to hold his own in a contest and not get swatted away easily. Patience is the key with this kid.

As per Insta stories it looks like he is. But he's not really a small forward, not a power forward by any means but at 193cm and not ultra quick, like someone above noted more in the Gunston mould.

Given the amount of players who are over 30 and with no VFL being played this season, I highly doubt Ross will be delisted.

Reduced lists don’t bode well for someone on the list for a few years without getting a game
