The thing that gets me is when a player cops a knock that keeps him out for some time there will be video of the exact moment the said contact occurred, quite often from more angles than JFK assassination, to this day I haven't seen any footage if this moment. That said bone bruising is a bitch, injured on the day you can play on whilst still warm, next week can play with pain relief but this is a one off option just like the Hawks did with Buddies hyperextension a few seasons back but play one week on pk with bone bruising and who knows how long the return time Will be, I've known guys to miss twelve weeks after returning the next week after initial injury.

Brilliant point, where is the footage? It doesn't exist because it didn't happen

What can you tell about the moon landing? You seem to be all over conspiracy theories, thought you'd be a good person to ask.

Show me the footage, where did this impact happen? Naivety is a great way to explain someone who believes everything that comes from the media. I don't think it's bone bruising, simple as that. I think you'll find there's a huge majority of supporters who don't buy that narrative either.

Do I believe everything I see, read or hear from the media? Not in the slightest. It's not being naive to have faith in what your hearing from the club in regards to his injury/recovery or lack thereof. I just think that thinking along the lines of where's the footage, there's is no footage so it didn't happen is a bit odd. I'm sure there are plenty of things that happen in games that there is no clear footage regardless of cameras at just about every angle. Look at the end of the day if the club comes out and says his knees shot I'll send an apology your way. The one thing that I think we will agree on is that we both hope your wrong and Jaeger is back out there tearing it up asap.

I was all for the JOM with the confidence our medicos and high performance division is the best in the business. I want nothing more than for him to be a consistent footballer, but I just don't believe an inconspicuous knock that no one has any idea where and how it happened is what's causing this prolonged stint on the sideline and enforced mini-preseason.

If he is back running then I'd say the "bone bruising" has resolved, likewise if it was his previously injured patella tendon or meniscus then they would have had to improve significantly for him to be back running. My experience suggests they would be doing a 2-3 week strength and conditioning block focusing on power and agility before joining in training with the boys. Reckon we will see him in about 5-6 weeks. Hopefully he gets a good solid 6-8 games in at the end of the season to build into next year.

Additionally, there is no treatment for bone bruising that involves running. Has anyone seen him running? Any training footage?

Seems whatever they are doing with him is behind closed doors. I'll be very surprised if we don't hear about a "minor" surgery required pretty soon.

Two big risks - O'Meara and Vickery. I'm hoping the best but fearing the worst. Apply Occam's Razor to the situation and this is view is logical.

I agree with you, I'd be more surprised not to hear the surgery statement than to hear it.

There was talk last night on SEN that the word going around was that a specialist in Germany said 'it was knee he had ever seen'

Make what you want with that

i just dont get the hysteria.
maybe we should bring Beau Dowler or Mitch Thorp into the side this week?
or if Hodgey gets a week, xavier ellis?
all Top 10 picks are legends of the game right?
ffs...it's not an exact science. look how that burgoyne kid is going.

Issue is, a deal like this that goes completely pear shaped effects the club for 4-5 years. The hysteria is warranted, I can't remember a deal in recent history where a club gave up so much. Do you?
