Jaeger Trade Update

Jaeger is currently undergoing a training block, aka mini-pre-season. It seems likely he will make a return after the bye, although this has not been confirmed.

Same for Cegs, Frawley, Cyril, Stratts, O'Rourke, Lovell, Nash and Miles
All of those guys are long termers, isn't JOM doing a mini pre-season with the thought of returning after the bye? Or are we now looking at a more long term scenario?

After the bye is a month away
Stratton and Miles could be back before then or around then

My point is that there are 11 players on the list not including Nash who we know is out but isn't even on the report, probably because he is a rookie

They talked about Poppy, Gunston, Fitz, Brand and Timmy as they were the ones out last week who could be back this week or next week

They also talked about Birch as he could be back next week

Anyone more than a week away was not mentioned

Ripping update on JOM from AR today
Didn't i tell u i spoke to him about the updates. U guys can go nuts in here and form all sorts of conspiracies. Compelling reading.

P.S come to think of it even if he had given an update it wouldnt have made a difference.

Or they prefer not to address the JOM injury for obvious reasons, and to be frank I'd be doing that as well. If a club offered us pick 1 for TOB and Jack Gunston I'd sign the deal and laugh all the way to the bank, the Croad and Mcpharlin deal is no different, was great business.

They addressed it last week, he's running and doing a training block which will take a few weeks to complete
No need to update on that every week
We don't get weekly updates on u ured players unless they are week to week propositions normally

Doesn't matter anyway, if they say he is progressing people will say the club is lying, don't give an update they are hiding something

Bunch of people on here who believe he won't play again this year and the only thing they will believe is seeing him play, everything prior to that will be fine foil hat territory

Plenty of stick figures that made it in the AFL. Ellis just had the problem of not being able to put on any weight whatsoever. Unlike this bloke. Whatever he was eating we should have had Ellis on double portions.

Ellis has gained plenty of weight since retirement. I always thought that we should have put him on a full training for a year instead of playing him each week. The amount of running in games, recovery time and injuries from playing can really inhibit development.

How does trading 1 first round pick effect the club for 4-5 year ? Where do people come up with this garbage ?

It's no different to picking a Dowler, Ellis or Thorp which we did 3 times and still won 4 flags in the next decade.

The 3 2nd rounders can easily be replaced by trading fringe players out for picks in the 30s an 40s which are of similar value to early 2nd rounders.

Again, too sensible.
The Henny penners will fail to read and digest what you've written, and simply regurgitate ad nauseum how we have NO DRAFT PICKS FROM HERE - TO - WELL - FOREVER IT SEEMS!
Even if forever is simply this draft being compromised with no EARLY picks.:drunk:

Whilst that is true, the draft prior to ******* Ellis and Dowler up we got Rough, Buddy and Lewis.... Also in the draft we ****** up those 2 we also had 5 picks in the top 22.

You'd never know we won three premierships in a row just 18 months ago by some of the posts in this thread
If you keep being content with the past you just get left behind. I hope we don't plan on being Richmond or Carlton in the future.

We sold the farm for Jaegar

Agriculture came after Hunter/Gatherer societies

The word farm comes from the Latin Ferma

Ferma is really close to the word German - it has four of the same letters all in EXACTLY the same order

Jaegar is German for Hunter

Why farm when you can hunt in German

Will be named in the squad soon probs...
