Just speculating but I think being a dual sportsman (very talented cricketer who captained South Australia U19s last year) probably has had something to do with it. This was the first year he decided to make football his sole focus. With a bit more time to prove himself, who knows where he might have gone.

Was trying to work out is he right or left . You can tell he’s right but he looks like an elite kick. It’s a huge advantage for Matt no chance of running into trouble to favour a preferred side to kick ……. just run to the best hole/space and then dispose accordingly. Huge advantage for players in congestion/under pressure! The more I watch him the more I like
