For people doubting Lewis, guess the other player. (Lewis on the right)

Aaron Naughton ?
Max King?
People forget that fitness matters.
Need to give players coming back from long absences a bit more slack.
Lewis' contested marking is elite and it will only get better as he gets stronger.
Not in conflict to your post C-L-A as I know it's not the point you were making, but contested marking is a bit of a weird one for me.Elite? Not sure if serious. He's well placed for a key forward at the current stage of his development, but 1.8 contested marks a game is a long way from being elite. As an example, for other key forwards: McKay (2.6), Dixon (2.5), King (2.4), Naughton (2.4), Darcy Cameron (2.2)... Mitch was ranked 19th for average contested marks by key forwards in 2021. Hopefully with a good pre-season and he can get over 2.0 per game in 2022 and end up top 10.
He was actually 11th. 21st league wide.Elite? Not sure if serious. McKay, Dixon, King, Darcy Cameron all get targeted as no1 forwards like at all times. McKay has like no one else who is performing and they go to him, every time. Dixon the same even tho they have others he's targeted alot. King the same and Darcy Cameron the same (Pies have like no key fwds) with Naughton he's just a freak but the fact is. Lewis isn't being targeted nearly as much and if he did he'd be on par. In 2019 when he broke out late in the year, his average of contested marks and goals was 3 contested marks per game with 2 goals which was a month period at the end of the season, that was when he was fit and firing, he hasn't gotten back to that 100% yet and will. He'll also improve on that. So yes what i'm trying to say is his hands are elite and contested marking is elite. Was top 3 in the comp at one stage early in the year on avg.Elite? I'd much rather he average ZERO contested marks a week, because he takes 8+ uncontested chest marks on the lead after dropping his opponent.
Any side relying on their KPF taking contested marks as a strong part of their plan is going to really struggle (outside of Supercoach).
Idk, he's been pretty good when it hits the deck (when hes fit back end of 2019 and consistently this year). If he can hit packs hard and lead up field he looks like a very good player as he is a big unit and a good congested mark. When he drops off intensity or ball hits the deck he looks horrible.
Simialr To Kosi he has some flaws - let’s hope it doesn’t stop him becoming a very good key forward - as we need it.
