Another factor in the GCS/Dixon saga is the picks they'll use to replenish their list.

They ran a 38 senior/8 rookie setup this year, which I'm expecting to drop to the standard 38/39/40 senior & 4/5/6 rookie setup.

They've delisted 2 senior list players with 3 expected to leave (Dixon, Bennell, Smith); and delisted 5 rookies.

I expect them to upgrade Saad, meaning that leaves 4-6 list spots for them on the senior list. If they get Seedsman and Howe that leaves 4 spots on the senior list via the draft.

They have picks 3, 19, 22 and 40.

It's likely that they'll get pick 10 from us, so they may not even use pick 40 or any pick after pick 22.

We should target that pick 40. Like 10 + 47 for Dixon + 40.

Just for the sake of keeping it real, don't forget that all those highlights were a few years old and he was moving a hell of a lot better back then.

If we can get him back to that sort of fitness then pick 10 is a good get. But the gamble is there so pick 10 is fair.

Not going to get carried away until he has proven he can stay on the Park. But if all goes well he could be a huge fan favourite

After watching that all I'm thinking, beyond whoa, is I hope he can keep his bulk with burgo in charge. If he can do that sort of thing at AO it'll be Eddie who?

So watch the highlights from his career best year where he looks to be moving just fine :)

Gold Coast already are running a standard senior and rookie list set up. A few cat b's this year.

Reading Chris Davies comments trading for Toumpas will rely on Charlie's trade. I hope this doesn't mean we're entertaining giving up 2 picks for Charlie.

On Jimmy Toumpas…
“Every South Australian who ends up on an AFL list, and I’m sure Adelaide do the same thing, we keep tabs on where they’re at.

“If someone like Jimmy suggested he wanted to come home, we’d be derelict in our duties if we didn’t actually look at what the opportunity was.

“Our priority is to make sure we get the Dixon deal done, and from there it’s seeing what shapes out.”

You know there were many highlights in there from this year and last year? Best part about the clip was watching his beard slowly grow!

One thing Charlie will have to get use to is that he will now get the #1 defender every single week, not just on the rare occasion when Tom Lynch didn't get it. Not that it should be that big of an issue, but just something to consider.

I was already completely sold, but after watching those highlights I am super excited now. I cannot wait to see him run out in our colours in round 1. I also cannot wait to see what Schulz can do now when he doesn't have that #1 defender and doesn't get 2v1'd and 3v1'd.

Definitely this. Jay goes one way Charlie the other while Paddy's in the goal square.
