Schulz is a much more complete footballer now than he was back then and Ken is a team first coach that won't make a forwardline a one man wonderland.

Schulz's work this season leading up the field and giving us a marking target on the wing has gone largely unmentioned but he was colossal. Imagine him doing that getting the ball to a runner zipping past who can get it one out to Dixon who not only can monster a defender in the air, but has Westhoff-like agility when the ball hits the ground. It's like a tutu on a Humvee.

Alternatively Dixon pushes upfield, drags about three defenders with him and Schulz leads into space. Mark kick goal.

Tutu on a humvee!

I think that's the winner folks.

I actually think his impact will be felt more when we are under the pump.

When we are in top we run and carry and hit targets and look a million bucks anyway.

When other teams are pressuring us and defending well and Dixon provides a bail out and clunks marks that's when he will truly show his value.
In other words just like Butcher but a better kick for goal.

I'm incredibly excited about Charlie Dixon. The most he's played in a year is 16 games, but being in a state of the art facility with the highest quality of medical staff, I have no doubts he can play 25-26 games;).

I hope I'm not getting carried away, but I cant see him kicking any less than 400 goals next year :).

How good is it going to be when we get on top in a game and he just rag dolls defenders and finishes our dominance.

His addition is amazing.
I'm certainly looking forward to playing sides that are short on the defence like Hawthorn and Adelaide. I noticed Ryder caused a bit of havoc when he floated forward against these teams and Dixon is really going to magnify this advantage for us.

ok, i guess if a cant beat em, its time to join em.

the thing that impressed me the most about him is his kicking. Seems to be a natural kick for goal, and very straight and reliable. Also love that he is already a cult fugure, that shit gets people coming through the gate.

I hadnt realised until reading wikipedia ( I assume its true) that Charlie had significant vision problems which were corrected by contact lenses, which he wore for the first time in GC's win against us at Footy Park.

People that edit Wikipedia articles need to learn citations.

Against Port Adelaide in the final quarter, Dixon pulled down two genuine high-flying pack marks that shifted the momentum and led to the most unlikely of victories.

Skill, positioning and desire were key factors, but so too was a pair of contact lenses. "I wore contacts for the first time, apparently I was half blind which I only found out last week," Dixon said.

"They make a big difference."

So watching the charlie dixon highlights...

I got more excited at him in the ruck running through the mid...

Having him and ryder just swapping to save on rotations is almost unfair for the rest of the comp....
At no point should those ankles get anywhere near the ruck / centre bounces!

Jacko in the ruck is like our wild card. He is just fearless with his run up and his leap is awesome. I'm inspired thinking about it, I'm sure the boys seeing it infront of them would fire up from it.

Will probably see less of it now but it's there for a last roll of the dice if need be.
