Against Port Adelaide in the final quarter, Dixon pulled down two genuine high-flying pack marks that shifted the momentum and led to the most unlikely of victories.

Skill, positioning and desire were key factors, but so too was a pair of contact lenses. "I wore contacts for the first time, apparently I was half blind which I only found out last week," Dixon said.

"They make a big difference."

Should of gone to Spec Savers after that bloody game......however, he did make us see that Primus was finished.

Absolute beast, that agility for a big man is just unbelievable.
If Port can keep Charlie on the park he should kick at least 70 goals, plus with any sort of half decent delivery he won't be outmarked very often ( if at all ).
Schulzy should have a very good year as well, there will be no more double teaming him while Charlie is on the park.

And he's not just a big bloke with skills, he's a commanding physical presence. He has the strength and aggression to take on multiple defenders and rag doll opponents.

Ken was at Geelong when they built a forward line around Cam Mooney. The big hairy cat was angrier than Charlie but Charlie is every bit as physically imposing.

And, added to that, Ken would know Charlie's potential better than any of us, having coached him at GCS :) :)

Dixon will kick 70 next year.

Lol 12th in trade period.
that article is one of the worst pieces of shit i've ever seen on the afl website. and that's saying something because the afl always has horrible shit on their website.

seriously, we did worse than st kilda? they sold the farm to buy a player who on his first day is busted snorting coke. and melbourne, SECOND? they brought in jake fken melksham and traded away an early pick for peanuts.

I hope we give him number 18. The spiritual home of the number 18 is on the back of big, fierce centre half forwards.
Eric 'Fritz' Freeman. Idolized him and saw him at AO in the baggy green. What a player. Which reminds me
HOW GOOD WAS NEIL HAWKE

it is amazing how athletic the big guys are these days..

to put it in perspective, Dixon is the same height as Sam Jacobs, taller than Matthew Primus and Todd Goldstein.

his talent has been on display for all to see, I am confident that Ken can harness this talent and help him realise his massive potential.

Imagine you're heading for the ball and roadtrain Dixon is coming the other way.

Would shirk that contest so good.
That's the sight I want to see, someone to get in his way and get bulldozed, Josh Gibson being my number 1 to see fall to big Charlie. Or someone try and rough up our stars up forward, it won't end well for them with Dixon lurking. Cannot wait to see him unleashed with so much quality around him, is it round 1 yet?

Lets be honest, you wouldn't want to be in that position....!

Wilber Wilson would have had a crack thought, nutter.

And we think Carlisle is bad haha Neil knew how to get rekt.
Peanuts were his undoing. Wiki doesn't do him justice. His swing bowling was Massie like and kept wicketkeeper B Jarman busy saving byes.
Although I never saw him play footy I think he was pretty special there too. A FF maybe not 100% on that.
He might have kicked 10 or more in a game.
