Not any more...
It now depends on if the club in question wants points or picks...
Wish GCS were up front. If it was known they wanted points we could've possibilly kept pick 10 and given the our 2nd, 3rd and a raft of other lower level picks...

From now on when we enter trade negotiations, I think this is something we need to figure out / ask early...

Do they want picks or points...
Nah ... teams would be wanting high picks initially so they have bargaining power at the trading table. They didnt hold onto pick 10 very long, did they? Then near the end as active trading was mostly done & dusted, they went swapping for points

NUFC, YES.
Noticed that.
What tosser wrote that article?

We give up a first rounder for a KPF and it's "Paid a significant price to get spearhead Charlie Dixon"
Give up a 2015 & 2016 first rounder for a midfielder as Geelong and Collingwood did and mo mention of paying a significant price...

And WTF is the tosser going on about when he says "Have to retain players now and start to regenerate with youth"?

Can't remember the last player we lost (that we didn't want to lose - Burgoyne maybe in 2008?) and Jay is our only player over 30 - not exactly an old list...

That author is a campaigner...
Judging by the praise lavished upon GWS, Essendon and Adelaide, we'd have been graded much higher had we lost Boak for pick #7.

Because picks, man.

PICKS.

Treloar is an enormous get. Rate him just as highly as Wines.

Agree on not being as excited on Howe and Aish however have to say that overall they have improved their list.

Yep. They even rated GWS ahead of us despite losing all that talent. But apparently Stevie J and Dawson Simpson hold a lot of currency these days. Not to mention the Dees paying overs for Melksham and losing Howe and Toumpas. I mean, who even writes these articles?!

Journalists. With little knowledge of high level AFL.

Talking to a relative who is an AFL agent and these journos knowledge is about 4/10 whereas most people here would be at least a 6/10.

Nah. Treloar's a jet but good inside mid > good outside mid. Both are fantastic at what they do but what Wines does is more important and harder to replace.
Wouldn't exactly call Treloar outside. Definitely spend more time on the outside than Ollie but he's a very good inside mid. I do rate Ollie higher because you can rely on him whereas you probably want 3 treloars for every 2 Wines at the centre square. Ollie is just a rock you can build off.
