Parker has lost it. He thinks he has drafted Ewan McGregor (as Obi Wan Kenobi), not Ewan Mackinlay:

“He has bursts of speed and agility and is able to work into space. Ewan also shows good game sense to set up scoring opportunities with and without the ball.”

You don't need to see his identification....

As per my comments on Liddy, if Mackinlay can bring his speed and running power to the next level he could be a more than handy pick up, but if neither can do that they should both be capable of making the Maggies more competitive, and hopefully help some of the AFL listed players who have been struggling perform better due to the quicker ball movement they should be able to provide through the midfield.

This is the one i'm most excited about. Seems many don't share my excitement (and probably rightly so, I've only just seen his highlight reels and nothing else)

But in any case, i'm putting this here so I can come back at the end of next season when he wins the brownlow.

Lol in that article:

Previously, Port Adelaide has chosen Cam Sutcliffe (2019), Jed McEntee (2021), Brynn Teakle (2022), Quinton Narkle (2023) and Logan Evans (2024) in the mid-season rookie draft.

ITS GOING WELL

Yeah but this year we have three of them.

WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT!!!

So at best a 20% success ratio. 20% of 3 is not 1. It smells a bit like desperation. Unsure the implications on list management and cap etc.

From the highlights, he has a nice little burst of speed and is really agile and moves well through traffic. Almost Butters/Rozee like with his quick footwork and balance getting out of the stoppage at SANFL level. It'll be interesting to see whether that translates to AFL level footy.

Clearly doesn't trust his kick, he's got that Kane Mitchell run 50 then handball quality about him. Barely a single kick in his highlight reel.

But that unique blend of speed and endurance tho. 🤣

Just passingly heard Surjan on Wilde’s sport show Thursday night talking about him. Really rates him and says has impressive iq and is the guy he relies on to reinforce the message on field.
Whatever that means

yep he was deputy VC at north, clearly has some leadership/iq traits which is nice.

Ewan plays any sort of game today, he could be a sneaky chance to debut next week at Peps' expense. Sam looks out of sorts and might need a rest.
