Port Adelaide has selected midfielder Mani Liddy with pick 16 in Wednesday night’s mid-season rookie draft.
The Central District product and former under-18 state captain is recognised for his high work-rate and clean hands.
Liddy collected the Fos Williams Medal as the SANFL’s best player in the state game earlier this month, finishing with 20 disposals, three clearances and three tackles.
With 51 league matches to his name, the 23-year-old has averaged 22.6 disposals, five clearances and 4.3 marks from seven games this year.
“Mani has continued to develop his game over the past few seasons after he made the move to Centrals from Sturt,” National Recruiting Manager Geoff Parker said.
