Honestly it’s great that you care for your club and the SANFL. Shame that your season has been derailed, although I would hope that your team can cover a single midfielder.

Reality is that the AFL has the power and money, players’ ambitions lie in reaching this league. It’s the pinnacle. Doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the local leagues, but that’s the reality.

Literally every sport, everywhere has lower leagues that feed into higher leagues/teams.
Is Melbourne victory salty when they lose a player to for Aus or the EPL? Or the NBL to the NBA? Cricket teams are serially affected through a season as players more up and down grades or from teams. Often in the middle of the season too. Just the world man. You can be sour but it ain’t changing it.

I have every right to be annoyed at losing our best player mid season. What point is there in Centrals having really good players just so you can draft them from us. Our purpose and intent should be to win games of football not breed players for big brother AFL. What is the point of us existing? We may as well just develop average players and finish mid table SANFL. thank you for your half reasonable and polite reply, not like some of the others on here.

If Centrals really cared about the SANFL competition they should be handing at least half of that to the Unley oval anti-poo fence fund.

Pretty simple solution is to just line every player up before round 1 and ask anyone intending to nominate for the mid-season draft to leave. That's integrity for you.

Though you are right, once the AFL reserves come in there really isn't much point in the SANFL.

You support the Crows. Who were literally created to take every talented player from all clubs in the league. The irony in this is just beyond even comprehension.

My view is that at least some if not the majority of your outrage is interlinked with Port Adelaide picking a Centrals player as much as an AFL club picking a Centrals player

Why would I be happy that he's not playing for my team.

I have a right to support my club in the SANFL. I love my club as much as you love yours. People are allowed to support teams other than Port Adelaide. If the other teams didn't exist you'd have no one to play with.

Would you be happy with Horne Francis playing for Richmond?
