Player Watch Welcome to Port Adelaide Mid-Season Pick #3 (2025) - Harrison Ramm

Virtually no decent talls have come from the MSD. Let’s not get excited like we just got pick 3 in the ND.

Sour puss here but we’ve been in this position nearly 10 times the past 10 years with plucking “developing” KPP late in draft/rookies etc and not one of them has come on.

This blokes more likely to be delisted in 3 years than play a game based on the history of his pick and player type.
Yeah like how everyone on here lost their shit over Teakle when he didn't show much at all.

We finally found a use for that jumper we brought for Ben King

It would sum up our season if Ramm who trained at Brighton Beach Muscle over the summer gets picked ahead of Jack Whitlock who did a pre-season at the multi-million dollar Alan Scott MG Gym.

Hartlett said Whitlock has no fitness issues, just needs to string a few good games together to get ahead of Lord. But it's likely he'll be unlucky to get a gig with Luko coming back soon.

I'd expect Ramm to start at full back in the SANFL considering we have Walsh out for the season, Moss out for a while, and Weidemann was in the midfield. Forcing us to have Linke and Carter as key backs last game.

He's packed on some size since the u18 championships. It was one of the reasons Parker gave for him coming into consideration.

I like that all three of our mid-season recruits have worked on developing their games in some way to improve their chances of being drafted. It doesn't guarantee success but it shows good determined character and the ability to take advice on board.
I do wonder if he’d be 8kgs lighter had he been drafted by us 6 months ago…

Ramm does most things at a decent level imo. Aside from speed, I don't see him lacking in much and he also reads the play really well.

I'd send him to America now where Boak goes for his pre-season, and get this kid to put on some size. I don't think he can play this year but I think he's a chance next year if he gets adds some strength.

Gonna RAMM it in nice and hard and get BIG.

Yes more muscle at Port means too slow. But when Geelong play us we seem to be boys against men. This thinking has been there for a long, long time.

Put it this way to be playing centre half back at 18 in one of the top teams in the SANFL he’s looking alright , looks already better than Kyle Marshall or Walsh and probably in front of Whitlock as well based on SANFL performances
I hope that Walsh does a Thilthorpe and tackles his rehab aggressively and returns a man. His foot skills is already better than Aliir, Ratugolea and BZT. If Ramm and Walsh come on, with Ramm going on the biggest bloke and Walsh on the 2nd tall, Port's tall backs could finally look stable for once.
