TASMANIAN DEBILS!!!
So disappointed for Ross...was really showing the goods as a midfielder...bummer!
Thought Ross would help us cover for the injuries to Cotch and JGraham and help us snag a few more victories and keep us in the running for the Finals!
Now he's on the LTI list as well...here's hoping he's a good healer!

8-10 weeks, conservatively 12 weeks, has him back at Round 20 with a few weeks to find form before the finals. On the plus side, his body will be fresh.

Will be interesting to see if we try get him back into the team that late into the season or if we save him for next year to ensure it is 100% right.

I think he adds a bit to the team from a ball winning perspective so there is a definite need for him.

Actually we're doing well without Ross and Graham, a half baked Cotch atm. Get some more grunt back in will help our midfield. Who goes out?? Man this year has brought on so much depth.

JR, Ross that is, might be a very important part of us taking that next step.

Thanks for the update. It’s frustrating to see him on the injury list every week with 3-4 weeks by his name. Would be great if someone can let us know when he’s training with the main group.
That was 9 or 10 days ago that I was told that information by a friend that had spoken to Jack so it’s reliable. Unless of course there’s been a setback on the training track since

KiwiTiger are you able to give us any updates on Jack’s progress? Usually RFC provide an injury video with Burge but I haven’t seen one uploaded for ages.
Yep still nothing from burge. AFL website saying 3-4 weeks, RFC site saying medium term.

Doesn’t sound like Jack will be available until round 22 at the earliest. Very tough to see him playing seniors again this year if that’s the case, as not sure he’d come back in for a final, unless he goes straight back into the side in the last couple of rounds with no VFL time.

Anyone got an update? From some of the posts above it sounds like he’s way ahead of this in terms of return date?

Would love to see him back pre finals! Absolute jet and 100% in our best 22 on form earlier in the year.

So should be back for our last two VFL H&A games, with us having a bye final round. Then slot in for the Brisbane game if he goes well. Also got the first VFL finals on the pre AFL finals bye round to build some more match fitness for first final.

In ahead of graham, baker, rioli, short and even castagna on recent form imo if he can get back to his best

Agree at his best he was a lock for best 22, but he aint replacing Rioli or Castanga.

Different player.

Agree not they like for like, but it would allow titch, Martin, Shai or Lambert to spend more time forward. While getting one of our best clearance players into the team.

Sometimes you’ve got to adjust your structure to get your best players out there. Castagna is line ball given his form, but I’d 100% have him playing in front of Rioli at this stage.
