Bit disrespectful to a 3 time premiership player.

Bit disrespectful to players like Richo, Ablett Sr., Lockett etc that George is a 3x premiership player. 😏

Yah it’s bizarre to to me that any tigers fan who lived through the dark times think lowly of Castagna. You do realise that one of the keys to success was His elite skill set. George didn’t luck into 3 flags. Just look at the panic in the eyes of the crows backs trying to frantically get the ball out with him butler and dan harassing them all game.

His work ethic and focus on his tasks are insane. This is a skill just like kicking or marking the ball.

Why’s that? Do you have to be a champion to play in a flag? Say what you want about George but he’s been an integral member of each of the 3 flags. Easy target though for the Nuffs.

I was being facetious. George is a player that had a bad year this year but has been a solid contributor and, had he kicked straight would have been a 30+ goal a year forward in 17, 18 and 19. Handy numbers. Has a knack of finding the shots. Is crafty in that regard and has done well to be a 3 time premiership player given his limitations. That being said, his bad games are woeful and we virtually play a man down when he doesn't get involved with his pressure.

Kid has just turned 18 in october so late birthday so you would expect him to grow a couple of cm and add a few kgs

Will end up same size as nathan Brown who was 181cm 80kgs but i think Juddy is quicker

POSITION: Small Forward/Midfielder

SNAPSHOT: “One of the quickest players in the draft pool, Clarke is hard to catch once he gets going, and his surge style of play and nous around goal make him a desirable player for the modern game.”

Clubs like Richmond and Melbourne have had recent success in the AFL with their surge tactics and once they form in full motion, they are hard to stop. Not many players in this draft pool showcase the surge style like Judson Clarke, who knows one way - and that is to attack at all costs. Clarke spent most of his time playing NAB League with Dandenong Stingrays and AGSV football with school Yarra Valley Grammar, excelling in both competitions as a dangerous forward who could also roll through the midfield. Clarke shows some comparisons to Carlton’s Zac Fisher as an elusive left-footer and looks set to be taken in a similar draft range to Fisher, who went at pick 27 in 2016.

STRENGTHS:

+ Speed
+ Agility
+ Goal sense
+ Clean hands
+ Run and carry
+ Smarts

IMPROVEMENTS:

- Contested Game
- Tackling

Wow how fast and skilful is this guy? That’s a really good highlights reel. Love his precision kicking up forward and his ability to capitalise on opportunity in a meaningful way. Looks like he could be the earliest debutant from our draft crop IMO

The Gun used to say similar things about late birthday draftees.

Just sayin!
