Fly mentioning in his post game interview against Coburg that RCD was crook (tonsillitis) the previous week/s. Explains that 8 possession game against Cats

Looked dangerous up forward this week- ground speed and good in the air.
Who comes up with these nick names?!? why is he called fly?!?

Could someone who has been watching the VFL games please update us on how RCD is developing. His stats looked good but that’s not necessarily the full story. We could certainly use someone of his size in the midfield.

Spends most games playing full time midfield and resting on the bench rather than heading to the forward line. Last couple of weeks has has been used forward because of illness last week and lack of options this week with so many missing through injury/illness.

In the middle he gets first hands on the footy and feeds it out to the runners. Hasn't been able to get much uncontested footy to pad his stats and turn 16-18 disposal games into low-mid 20 disposal games. Yesterday it would appear that with him resting forward a little more he got those extra few easier touches as well as hitting the scoreboard. At this stage he probably doesn't play at senior level this year which isn't a bad thing as it will allow him to focus on developing his game better. Another preseason under his belt where he builds on his tank and adds some more strength and he'll be a welcome addition in the 2020 season along side the likes of Ross as the next generation of inside midfielders.

23 disposals, two goals & four tackles

“Played his best game for the season at this level, 23 disposals, eight clearances and kicked two goals himself. He’s really invested in the team and he got rewarded on the day. It was a great performance.”

Well done young man.

From reading the VFL reports and hearing what the club has been saying, he's used to being the bigger body and needs to learn how to now play against men who he can't outmuscle, and he needs to get better spread to get some outside footy. That could be a bit of fitness but I haven't noticed them alluding to that. Just seems like his game as a junior was based on being bigger than the other kids.

He's one I'd be extremely bullish about for next season when he's had another pre season to fill out and develop some strength and power to match his size, not to mention his cardio.

So, I came on here to see RCD chat.............
He's not finding the ball. He's still adjusting to playing men, he could run through a lot of the U18s, but now he's not as effective. He is also not a natural ball winner. Needs to learn some tricks and bulk up .He's still got upside because of his height.
