Toast Welcome to St.Kilda - Matthew Allison

Genuine question for the more informed, how often do kids who get drafted then spend years at VFL “come good”?
Think Michael Tuck played about 50 VFL games for Hawthorn before he was a regular AFL player in the early 1970’s - sorry the answer to your question - rarely.

Highly doubt Allison will make it and probably for the high jump if he hadn’t got a pretty difficult to understand contract extension.

In fairness, the draft doesn’t bat very deep.

After Allison, there’s no clear and obvious mistake (yet) where we wish we had drafted a particular player.

Initially thought it may have been Poulter but he’s only just going. Covid obviously affected it hugely so we’ll see who comes good from it in a few more seasons time.
