I'd guess we're looking to him to be a 193cm wingman who can roll back into defence to provide aerial support.
It's not the worst idea

"Can run. Can kick." Thats not exactly a glowing endorsement. Honestly that should be the BARE MINIMUM to play at an AFL club. If you can't run then you should be playing one of the disabled sports like wheelchair tennis or something. If you can't kick you shouldn't be playing "football." If I walked into Whitten Oval and said, "hey guys, any free spots on the list? I can run and kick," I'd be laughed at and escorted out by security. And yet this guy gets a crack? Why?

Not biting.

That's a lot better than ..."can't run, can't kick".

Guys that can kick the ball that long are so beneficial especially against defensive zones!

Actually excited by this choice!

Can kick 60metre plus without too much trouble and is quick as well as an endurance runner Was playing A1 amateurs at Adelaide Uni two years ago as a centre half back/forward before giving SANFL a go in 2021. Seems to rise to the level around him.
is a terrific person as well.

Hope it goes well for him and good to see a club actually select a rookie in the rookie draft.

Great stuff. I do wonder if we have a specific role in mind for him at the next level. Interesting that he’s played CHB, although a little short.
Completely agree about picking a genuine rookie as well. What a farce it’s become.

So he’s only played 1 year of amateurs and 9 games of SANFL as he was focused on cricket previously? Geez he’s raw, could be some huge untapped potential there, absolutely love his attributes, and at 24 physically he’ll be ready to go. I love our SA talent spotter so I’ve got a lot of faith in this pick

I have no idea what to think of him, but I do love seeing this as it's exactly what the rookie list should be for. ******* ridiculous seeing Polec, Casboult, Thompson, etc. being picked alongside guys like Parker
