He is ineligible - he played too many games last year.I don't believe so. Has to be this week though if they couldn't find him last week ... which they should have.
Ah well ... there you go. He'll just have to settle for a premiership medal instead.... or a Gary Ayres or a Norm.He is ineligible - he played too many games last year.
Much like Libba in 2011, who arguably should have been top 5 in the voting in his year yet never received a nomination (and would probably sit comfortably in the top 5 of his draft based on his career). It's a dumb award.Ah well ... there you go. He'll just have to settle for a premiership medal instead.... or a Gary Ayres or a Norm.

One of many dumb awards. The only ones, in no specific order, that carry any weight with me are the Coaches and Players MVPs. He is not thinking about the Rising Star. He has a chance of becoming one of the premier midfielders in the game over the next 12 to 24 months — similar to what Ed Richards has done over the past year.Has the kid had a RS nom ?
Pfft rising star noms...straight to Brownlow votes!Has the kid had a RS nom ?
The number of people at the ground who said at 3QT on Saturday "we're home. We can't lose this from here" ... and all the worry-warts around them (they were in the majority, me included) said things like "Don't jinx us. Just shut up. We're the Bulldogs. We can lose it from anywhere. Bad karma man." I think it was only at about the 25 minute mark of the final quarter that everybody started relaxing.Excited for him, but one game at a time. Think of Sam Darcy.
I’d love our players to reach the highest level of achievement but it’s a dangerous, unpredictable game they’re playing.
Sorry to be a worry-wort![]()
I don’t think I’m superstitious, it’s just that the future, even the very near future, is unpredictable and random. It cruelly resists our wishes and plans at every opportunityThe number of people at the ground who said at 3QT on Saturday "we're home. Superstition is huge in any sport. AFL no exception.
The king casts a long shadowBont took Bailey Smith under his wing a few years ago and then took JUH under his wing a couple years ago. Was also very close to Dunkley at one point. Nothing against the great man but maybe leave Bont Jnr to be his own person![]()

And they were the ones who chose to sh*t in the nest. Well, not so much Dunkley, but you get my drift. The Bont is the Cuckoo in the nest!
Bad Bont.
I thought they told the time. And they were the ones who chose sh*t in the nest. Well, not so much Dunkley, but you get my drift.
Glad he took Toby Greene's goal kicking under his wing last weekend.Bont took Bailey Smith under his wing a few years ago and then took JUH under his wing a couple years ago.
