I posted 'Go Sam' on facebook and they sent me a message saying that contravened their community guidelines. Am I safe to post this in here? What are they, freakin' GWS supporters?
😱
Which FB page are you talking about?

You monster.
Board ban incoming.

I have a feeling that Sam will come on quicker than people think. He seems to have a strong core and holds himself up well despite needing to add more weight.

Saw him training down at Sorrento Footy oval before NYE with some mates and he is seriously huge and imposing plus he has a frame that will fill out.
Just astounding that we have made finals 2 years in a row and have landed the #1 and #2 draft picks in those years... absolutely astounding...
Who would have thought that great era of Bulldogs from the late 80's through the 90's would sporn so many father/son's... 10+ years of Bulldogs greatness coming up!!

Could he do a Naughton?
Start his career as a KPD before becoming a forward or genuine swingman? Given we played Lewis Young pretty much everywhere I wouldn't be surprised to see Sam get a taste of the action in multiple parts of the ground.
Lewis Youngs best position is where he is now

Sam to follow in his Dad's and Grandfather's footsteps and win a premiership in his first season?

Luke played in a reverses premiership in his first season (1994 v Norf)
David played in a reserves premiership in his first season (1962 v Saints)
That was when Plough was Reserves coach if my memory is correct 1994. I know it didn’t end well but he could really coach in his early days

If Sorrento oval could tell stories, who hasn't trained there ? Back in 19 mumble mumble I was doing repetitions one day, got to talking to another bloke during breaks. He claimed to be a member of the Australian Fencing team, I have no reason to doubt him. About all I now recall from our conversation was "The European boys hit a lot harder than the Commonwealth boys". Even back then, there was always someone on the oval over summer.

Is young Sam any chance of a few VFL games at the tail end of the season, or is that foot going to keep him out all year? Anyone with any sort of info?

Can't see the club risking it with a long term view for Sam.
A sentimental romantic, I can't wait to see Sam take the field in the AFL side, 3 generations in direct line, David to Luke to Sam all for the same club. That brings the Club up to our now traditional hated rival, Melbourne, with its Cordners, Ted to Ted to David. I was disappointed when Paul Spargo went to North and now Charlie to Melbourne, it could have been Bob to Bob to Paul to Charlie. I can't think of any other 3 generation direct line families for the one club.

Certainly a rare occurrence, but there are a few more examples.Hirds at Essendon, Kennedy's at Hawthorn and Silvagnis at Carlton are well known ones, sure there are a few others.
