Actually he was a clever small forward when played in that role, also wasn't hopeless when we gave him midfield minutes, underrated IMO.
 
Wright was decent and played some good footy at Carlton too. We sort of phased out his hybrid role in favour of playing specialists. I guess that's the luxury of landing a gun like Eddie Betts.

And drafting a talent like Charlie Cameron.
 
Has gone past McGovern already regarding team contributions. What a freakin bargain!
By far our biggest improver this year, can’t wait to see what he can do in 1-2 years when he improves his fitness further. Might even be better than Cameron in a few years time..?
 
Shame he's already mid-20's, would love to see this kind of impact for another decade

Nonetheless, he's improving quickly into one of our most important forwards. Great to have a consistent high-flyer in our side, too ahaha

Full of confidence now and looks a million dollars - seems to be in everything & perfect example of stats being misleading. His 10-15 touches are impactful.

What I found interesting tonight was his body language after the game. Have heard him described as a quiet country lad, but he was as animated as anyone after the win tonight, ran up and hugged pretty much everyone, all smiles and waving to the crowd. Looks really settled, and a big part of a group thats starting to look tighter.
 
Love his attack on the ball carrier - relentless and being a tough Halls Creek kid has heaps of courage! He and Stengle have rejuvenated our forward line and now we are seeing some clearances and better forward entires we are hard to defend against.

What an outstanding couple weeks from McAdam! The big marks, the manic chases, 2nd and 3rd efforts. Really finding his feet fast now as you sort of want out of a mature age recruit. Has x factor and adds something completely different to our forward line.

He is proving me wrong. He always had the talent but I didn't think he would ever get himself in good enough condition to play this well.
 
If you had seen him at sturt he always had this kind of game in his locker once fit. A very shrewd piece of business getting him as well as a 1st round pick in the superdraft for a patchy mcgovern
