I’m a Rugby League dude who played a couple of seasons in my late 20s of AFL and I was a spud that couldn’t kick to save himself
However I reckon even I could have a highlights reel from that time which would make Me look good

I’m amazed how you guys in all of the threads keep falling for highlights reels

After a while he could become new whipping boy like Hall or young .

Doubtful - a bloke who can kick the ball, take a mark in the back line and can actually play on an opponent doesn't become a whipping boy.

He is the antithesis of Lemmens.

Hopefully , I think his ability to hit target like you mention just free Weller up to play Midfield . Weller defensive games were bad this year .

To a certain extent I agree
A Lemmens highlights reel would actually be pretty amazing believe it or not
I remember him selling candy through half forward and kicking one of the Club's all time goals
Having said that, these kids highlights come from very very limited footage
There's no doubt the kid has great hands and a turn of speed

Bods, nothing to get excited about watching Lukosius, King or even Grahams packages but McLennan is a one grab guy naturally and has exceptional balance lands on his feet squarely we haven't drafted a real natural defender who has poise, balance and can mark cleanly for a long time under Clayton he always seemed to pick guys who couldn't stay on their feet or read the play - think Herbert, Schache, Cameron, Scrimshaw, Spencer (who I thought could have been good) and even Leslie

What would be a reasonable player comparison?

Jeremy Howe without the freakish ability to take massive hangers?

Shannon Hurn without as much penetration on his kicks?

Leo Barry?
