McLennan was rated top 30 by most? Not sure what you mean. Riordan and Fletcher weren't even selected.

Thats the point I was trying to get across. McLennan was much more highly rated than Riordan or Fletcher. Not sure how he could be possibly left out of that list.

Be interesting if he can hit the ground running in the NEAFL. Which is probably not too far away from the level of the VIC U/18 competition.

Interesting to see Mitch was rated as high as #16 on draft boards early in 2018 but slipped out to a late rookie pick / not selected at all by the end of year. The two main knocks on him are his disposal by foot and he doesn’t get enough of it.
Seems to be a victim of his own versatility having to play numerous roles.

McLennan was highly regarded by all the Victorian based draft watchers in the media and on Big Footy.

He has been averaging 18 touches in the TAC Cup this year.

If he is able to extract from a pack with a bit of pace a couple of times a game then he would have done his job.

That is something we are missing in our midfield is pace bursting from the middle. I love our lads they are as tough as nails, but a lot of them are very one paced. He could give us a point of difference if he can get to the level.

Mathew Lloyd coached Mitch at school level and gave him a glowing endorsement.
said the suns have picked up a 10+ year player.

Also talked about why he didn’t get picked up last year.

Sound like we just picked up other great future leader.
