Allegedly, a robber entered a restaurant armed with a gun and relieves patrons of their valuables.

As the robber leaves, a seated patron pulls out a pistol and shoots the robber before they can escape out the door.

To ensure the robber cannot escape, they put another bullet in them whilst the robber is laid (not moving) on the ground.

The armed robber is a moron for their actions. Still, they probably have family & friends that are tragically effected by this.

What of the vigilante? Villain? Hero?

What should become of the vigilante?

The patron who shot the robber in the back, had reason to believe that his own life was in danger. He neutralised the threat.

Love the 2nd bloke casually picking up his own wallet before the thief was even dead.

Just think how many school kids would be alive if teachers carried machine guns in class.

So the shooter handed himself in and got released without charge.

This says more than anything else. Look at the location Houston effin Texas. So many of these guys think they live in the old west where real men shot it out to get through the day. It doesn't matter to them that to act out their hero fantasies the perp has to be running away. IF the situation was different like the baddie was actually about to execute someone, ok, but that's not what happens in most of these incidents. He should have been charged with something, BUT it is Texas.
I bet a lot of future Tejanos are being fathered tonight.

Just a ****ed up culture that belongs in the 1850s.

The robber shouldn’t have a gun and neither should the patron.

There’s no need for people to die like this.

Some people like to talk tough like “he deserved it”, guessing they’ve never had somebody they know fall victim to drug addiction or something else that has driven them to stupid things.

Rehab is more than possible, some people deserve forgiveness and another chance. The God that so many of these moron hero types supposedly worship preached that.
