What an odd looking campaigner. Sounds like a man, yet has the face of a 3yr old child from midland.
Speaks well though, gives honest answers rather than rattling off boring media rehearsed stuff like Allen.

Needs to stop licking his damn lips though, up there with Gaff saying “Sort Of” countless times in his earlier interviews as well as his “Ah’s”.
Allen speaks well, but kind of comes across as a bit of a kiss ass atm, saying what he thinks the coaches and media want to hear.

Good question. They are the same age after all.
Anusworth played 13 reserves games in 2017 - Ave 18 disposals and 3.7 tackles.
Banfield played 22 LEAGUE games in 2017 - Ave 23.7 disposals and 5.4 tackles, won his teams best and fairest....
Maybe they see Anus's clearance work to be the most valuable thing on the planet?
It doesn't make sense that the logic of taking Ryan wasn't applied to Banfield. He must have really pissed off one of the recruiters or something.

Banfield had a really poor championships last year and Ainsworth made the all Australian squad in an incredibly deep pool of midfielders.
Obviously Banfield's high marking and short kicking uncontested game is the reason he was passed over.
